BIKING: An existing bike lane will soon be extended to connect the hotel neighbourhood (0.5 km from the hotel) to the city centre. To enable our guests to take advantage of this, Eurogarden Hotel will soon offer a bike rental service.
GOLF: Another possibility offered by our location is the chance to combine tourism, business and sports in a round of golf. Rome’s wonderful climate allows guests to play golf throughout the year.
3.4 km from the Hotel: Golf Club Arco di Costantino
Designed by Scottish architects John Souter and Tom Dewar, it seems inspired by the typical Scottish courses; its 27 holes fit perfectly in the Rome countryside. According to legend, Constantine the Great stopped to rest in this very area the night before the battle against Maxentius, the same night he dreamt about the cross carrying the message “in hoc signo vinces”.
7 km from the hotel: Golf Club Parco di Roma
Designed by famous American architect Dye, whose name is linked to the world history of golf, Golf Club Parco di Roma is an 18 hole/par 72 course with a practice course, tucked in a natural gully surrounded by greenery, with a magnificent view of St. Peter’s Basilica—distant, but still appearing within reach.
11 km from the Hotel: Marco Simone Golf Club
Love and a touch of madness led Laura Biagiotti and her late husband Gianni Cigna to restore an old Medieval castle in this pristine spot of Rome countryside, with a central tower dating back to the 11th century. The clubhouse was dedicated in 1993, and the Club hosted the prestigious Italian Open the following year (adapted from www.golfmarcosimone.it).
